Friday Favorites

I'm ready for Fall. Fall is one of my all time Favorite seasons. I love the cooler weather. I love the way the leaves change colors and everything starts looking more orange and yellow. I also love the Pumpkin Spice Lattee from Starbucks. I hardly never go to Starbucks and if i do I usually order tea.  I know their drinks are loaded with crap and honestly I don't even want to know. But, occasionally a girl needs to splurge.

Maybelline's Pink Pop lipstick. Their is nothing like a bright pink lipstick to make a girl feel better and cheer herself up.  I love this color!! I could wear this everyday and never get bored wearing it.

Urban Decay Preversion. I used to never ware mascara. But, since I've been wearing this I forgot how much I loved wearing it. This stuff makes my eye lashes look super long and thicker as well. It gives me that bedroom eyes effect. I really like it. I was really excited when I got this in my August Ipsy bag.

I got this in my August Birchbox. I was going to snap a picture of myself wearing the mask for fun. But, once I applied the mask it is really watery and clear. It feels more like a cleanser then a drying face mask. It makes my face tingle in a good way. It definitely has a very strong peppermint smell.  I do like it though. I actually love the smell of mint so that is not a big deal for me. My eyes got a little watery though.

I am also grateful that I have a three day weekend. I usually never get 3 day weekends as I usually have to work on Saturday. But, due to some fortunate events I don't have to work this Saturday.

I would date me...confessions

Okay, so these last few days I've been wondering why is it so hard to date in your late 20's. I admit I just don't understand men. First of all where do you go to meet someone besides a bar or online. Call me old fashioned but I don't find meeting someone on Facebook, Tinder, ect. Romantic. I believe in meeting someone the old fashioned way. You look at someone. You think they are sexy as hell. You click. They make you laugh. They give you butterflies. Then you move on to getting to know the person.

You talk through instant message, texting, and the phone. I am not a huge phone person but, there is something about hearing someones voice. I love it. You can hear their expressions and emotions. You end up having some funny, weird, and amazing conversations. Then, you go out on a date. Then you slowly graduate to holding hands and kissing. Then the guy says "you wanna be my girl?" and you are like "well, duh. Yes."

Okay, I think I have some awesome qualities. Not to toot my own horn.

*I'm funny and weird. I can say really random things at times. My nickname is giggles. Men seem to like this.

*I have huge boobs and a nice butt. If a guy is not a butt or boob man before he meets me then he will become one or both of those things quickly.

*I can cook. And I think my food is pretty good.

*I love actions movies and I would even play video games with the guy.

*I am super supportive and always willing to lend an ear. I have a good shoulder to cry on so to speak.  I love it when a man is strong but if he can be sensitive bonus points.

*I usually fall slowly and then all at once. Like, in the fault with the stars. But, once I fall I won't be throwing myself at the next man that comes along. I'm not a huge flirt and don't put myself out there.  I get guys like the attention and all. If given a chance you get the best of both worlds. I love giving my man attention.

Customize Your Look with

I was so excited when contacted me about reviewing an item of their clothing. I saw this beautiful tunic top and knew I had to have it. lets you customize the clothing. I gave them my measurements after I picked out this top. I made a mistake with one measurement and they were awesome in contacting me and making sure my order was just right. I really appreciated that.

The tunic is gorgeous. I love the embroidery and you can tell the makers took their time with every little detail. The tunic is very comfortable which Is very important to me. The fabric is 100% cotton so it is very soft. I love the way the tunic fits and feels.

I Also had the length made to be around thigh level. I love longer tops. I chose to pair the top with some skinny jeans and wedges. But, I love that it is so versatile and can be worn as a dress or paired with leggings. I can really ware this anyway I would like to depending on my mood or style for the day. has many different styles and their clothing ranges from 0-36W and of course you can always customize any piece of clothing you order as well.

My year of Radical Change

This is a very personal post for me. Some of the things I've shared before some of the things I really haven't shared before. But, this week especially I have had a lot of things going through my mind. I feel like I've had many changes going on in my personal life. I won't go into all of them here. But, it made me realize how I am tired of constantly living in fear and anxiety. I want to be able to go out and live a normal life. I like who I am minus the anxiety part of me and my other health issues. Those are two things I am constantly battling. I feel like anytime something good happens to me I end up pushing it away out of fear and I don't want to do that anymore.

Today I realized that if I could I would radically change my life. I obviously can't do something super drastic like take a trip across the world or hike a mountain. But, someday in the future I would like to be able to do something like that. Of Course in order to get that far I need to make some changes in my life right now. Today, it got me thinking and racking my brain. So, I came up with my Happiness Journey.

 1. My Physical Journey

Okay, so in Eat, Pray, Love Elizabeth Gilbert ran off to Italy. For me that is so not going to happen. Cheryl Strayed hiked a mountain. Again, so not going to happen. But, I thought of somethings I could do.

*Get my health issues in order. Some you may or might not know I have gallbladder issues. I do stuff on a daily basis for this. Mostly, I try to eat gluten-free 90% of the time and try to not eat very fatty foods. It helps but I do occasionally get flare ups and attacks. I see nutritionist who has me on herbal supplements. This does seem to work. I would like to eventually maybe see a doctor and not just have them give me morphine and send me on my way.

*Lose weight. I think I might do the 21 day fix. I have heard a lot of good things about it and think this could be a good option for me. *schedule my meals for the week. I read a lot of fitness blogs and they are really inspiring me to make this change. I think you know who you are and thank you for being a positive inspiration for me.

*Pack boxes everyday. Some you might know or maybe not that we need to move. Now, we plan on being out of the house by October. It has been very stressful trying to get things packed up and trying to find a place to live. I hope we find a place to go soon and can get everything packed up in time. I am including this in my physical journey since it is a physical part of my life and what I need to focus on for the next month.

2. My Emotional Journey

*my main goal is to lessen my anxiety and stress. I've sort of been living like a hermit these last few years. And that is going to change. I want to be able to go out more. And not just force myself to go out but actually enjoy going out. A part of what causes my anxiety is worrying about if I am going to have a panic attack. Anyone that deals with anxiety knows this can be very scary and daunting. But, I don't want it to hinder me.

3. My Spiritual Journey

*my Yoga Practice. I practice Kundalini yoga and it really helps me. To relieve stress and my anxiety and is just good for me in many ways. *My spiritual/prayer life. I wont really go into that here but it is something I need to get back to.

4. My Work Journey

*Blogging/Vlogging. Blogging has become a huge part of my life. It truly is more then just a hobby for me. I've met so many amazing women and want to continue with my blogging journey. I also plan on starting a vlog once I move and things are settled down a bit. *Writing my book. I started writing a book awhile back ago. I actually started writing it almost 4 years ago. It is hard for me to imagine. It is something I really feel the need to finish. It has been on my heart to do so for while now.

5. Rest/Fun Journey

Something I've also learned these past few years is that you need to avoid burnout. Like Elizabeth Gilbert talks about in her journey in Bali that it is all about balance. Too much and too little of anything is not good for our hearts and souls. Sometimes we need to make time for ourselves. We need to make time for our own personal journey. But, it dawned on me that this journey also includes rest and fun. I don't want to get so caught up in the process that I lose sight of myself or the people I care about. Apart of my resting/fun journey  is making time to do the things I love and enjoy. Not taking anything too seriously where it becomes a chore and no longer fun. And hopefully spending time with people that I like and having some fun in the process.

I hope my goals and Happiness Journey did not bore you too much. It has been on my heart and mind to write this for awhile now and I thought it was finally time to share a bit more of my story and my journey. A lot of this stuff I know will take a while to completely put into practice and get through. But, I am excited for my goals and to maybe being able to truly live my life on my own terms. If you stuck through reading this whole post I really appreciate it.

Nail Polish Haul and Review

A month ago I stacked up on a bunch of nail polishes. I am a nail polish junkie. But, for the longest time I just wore my natural nails. Recently I've been restocking up on nail polishes so I have a variety again. I lost some nail polishes in a flood awhile back as well as some makeup.

I have been wanting to try some Ciate nail polish especially the caviar. I have heard a lot of great things about it. And I love the colors.

I tried the pink nail polish with the pink Caviar beads. All they are are tiny little beads. The pink has multiple colors. A bright pink, Fushia pink, and some other light colors mixed in. It was actually fairly easy to apply. I just followed the directions. I applied two coats of the pink nail polish. Then when the nail polish was still wet I applied the beads. It was a little hard getting all the beads spread out but I think it turned out fairly well. Especially for a first time application. However, the beads sadly did not last very long. They lasted about a day before they all started to fall off. The second day it didn't look too bad. But, by the third day it was time to put on a new nail polish and take the beads off. The beads were not very easy to get off. I really had to scrub my nails to get the remaining beads off. I love this look and will use these again. But, I really recommend this manicure for a one night or day event. Also, be careful about eating with your hands. These beads are not for eating hotdogs or hamburgers. They will fall off and end up in your food.

I also stacked up on e.l.f. nail polishes. They had a whole set in mini bottles. I honestly don't mind mini bottles because we all know how long nail polishes last for. I have nail polishes from 6 years ago I never used up all the way. Probably time for those to get thrown away. Sadly.

I loved the colors when I first saw them. Their is such a variety. Two reds, a purple, gold, a dark green, some shimmer/glitter colors, and more. I love variety when it comes to wearing nail polish.

I had to try the dark green nail polish. It was shimmery and reminded me of a mermaid. The color is called sea escape. Sadly, it didn't apply as well as I had hoped. I am not the best at applying nail polish to begin with so, I really like when it just glides on easily. unfortunately, this did not and was a bit clumpy. I still got it on in two applications. But, when it dried sadly it was no longer the shimmery green it looked like in the bottle. It dried looking black. I do like and can wear black nail polish but one person did not like it. It also chipped fast as well. However, I did not apply a top coat. I did top it with Chic confetti which I really liked. It would not be a good stand alone color but it does work well as a topper for other nail polish.

I wanted to go with the gold color and glitter. I love the gold color in glamour girl.  It went on very smooth and easy. I did need two coats but that didn't surprise me. I wanted to add some glitter to it and added the glitter in gold star. It added just a little extra something to the nail polish. I did add a top coat. The nail polish lasted me about 3-4 days without chipping. For me that is a miracle. The glitter was hard to take off but that was not a surprise since most are anyway. I loved this look!

I applied Violet Velvet today. It didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. In the bottle it looks like a really shimmery purple. It actually looks similar to another nail polish I have from Sally Hansen that I love. However, this turned out darker then I imagined and is not as shimmery once applied. I did put a top coat on and that added some shimmer and gloss to it.

I love these reds in Red-y or not and Cherry Bomb. I haven't tried them yet. I don't usually ware red nails in my daily life. I wore red and blue nail polish for the fourth of July but, that was about it. I will wear these when I want to wear sexy red nails. I also love the pinkish shimmery color in metallic elegance. I'm sure it will apply well since the light colors seem to apply better. Or maybe I just got a bad batch of the darker colors. It's hard to say.

The one on the left is Nude. I do occasionally wear a nude nail polish but not very often. However, I am sure I will get around to trying this color. The color on the right is called Taupe of the World. Again, I am not much for taupe or light purple nail polish. But, it is a very lovely color and I'm sure I will get around to wearing it.

*I purchased these nail polishes myself with my own money. These statements are my own opinions.

Love With Food August 2014

*Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.

Love with Food is Quickly becoming one of my favorite subscription boxes. Love With Food is a monthly subscription box where you get sample sizes of snacks and candy to try. The Tasting box is $12 dollars, the deluxe and gluten-free boxes are $25 dollars a month. I love the tasting box and will upgrade as long as I keep getting awesome new snacks to try.

I opened the box and it was filled with delicious goodies. The food was practically falling out of the box.

The first thing I noticed was

Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning Potato chips by covered Bridge:
I love potato chips. Especially kettle chips and am always looking for healthier gluten-free options. So, I was excited to see these. Now, I have to admit the word seasoning scared me a little. I did immeditaly think spicy. I so wanted to like these but unfortunately I was right. They almost had a pepper taste to them and a lot of salt. I wanted to like these but I just couldn't finish the bag. These remind me of chips a guy would like to eat with a nice cold beer to be honest. My mom tried these as well and thought the same thing as me.

Pineapple + Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze!:
I haven't tried this yet. I was excited to get this. It is like a frozen Popsicle. It comes warm and you put it in the Fridge to get it to freeze. It reminds me of something I would eat at a country fair which is the theme for this months Love with Food box. I love pina Colada flavors and make a non-alcoholic smoothie for breakfast. So, I hope this is as good as that.

Cinnamon Grahams by Skeeter Nut-free:
Now, I do not need to eat nut free. But, their are a lot of people and kids who cannot eat nuts. I admit I haven't had any graham crackers in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised by how these tasted. I never would have guessed they were nut-free and actually healthy.

Salty Peanut Salt Water Taffy and Salty Caramel Apple Salt water Taffy by Salty Road:
I was super excited to receive these. Especially the peanut salt water taffy. It tasted like peanut butter and was absolutely amazing. I also really enjoyed the apple salt water taffy as well. I had heard about these and wanted to try them so I was excited I finally got the chance to. I could see myself buying these for myself and as a gift as well.

Lollipops by YUMEARTH:
I am not a huge candy person and haven't had a lollipop in years. I usually think of kids or teenagers eating lollipops. These where actually quite yummy and do live up to the name. If I had kids I would probably purchase these for them or if I had a party and wanted to serve candy.

Chrispy Chedder Crackers by Back to Nature:
I love Chedder crackers. So, I was so excited to see these. A healthier version of my favorite foods is always a bonus. I haven't tried these yet but they sure do look delicious.

Kettle Sweet Peanuts by Love With Food:
I am not a big nut eater and I know peanuts are actually not nuts. But, I do love me some peanuts. I don't eat them very often but anything peanut and peanut butter I'm obsessed with. So, I can't wait to try these.

Nutty Rice Bites with Blueberries by 180 Snacks:
I am not much for nuts and super crunchy things. But, I do like blueberries. I haven't tried these yet but I will give them a go soon.

*I pay for Love with Food with my own money. All opinions and views expressed are as always my own. If you sign up for love with food using my link I get points to go towards purchasing my favorite snacks. You don't have to use my link but I would appreciate it.

Ipsy August 2014

*Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links

As always I was excited to get my Ipsy bag. This is one of my favorite subscriptions that I get. Since, I love trying new makeup products and have been pretty happy with everything I've gotten so far.

The bag is actually my least favorite thing this month. It is just a plastic bag that is tube shaped. I am not a huge fan of this hard plastic. Plus, it has orange dots. I would have thought yellow would be more appropriate for August. I will still use it, it just was not my favorite bag I've gotten. Especially after getting such a pretty bag last month.

Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk
: If you read my unboxing last month of my Birchbox you will notice I got the same product. Normally this is something I would not be too happy about. But, I actually really like this dry shampoo. I was going to go purchase it. Now, I don't have to. This size sadly only lasts me about a week because of my long hair. It does not have an awful perfume smell and it does not make my hair look white like some dry shampoos. I think my hair really liked the oatmeal as well.

Jersey Shore Sun
Mongongo Lip Conditioner

This was probably the only product I really didn't like it. I usually wear lip balms as night not out during the day. I like the fact that it is all natural. But, I do not like the smell at all. It has a citrus ginger sent. I got two lotions last month with this scent and I am just not a fan of this. Plus, it did leave a bit of  taste in my mouth. I will use it but not for everyday. Just as a lip treatment at night. I can't see myself purchasing this.

J. Cat Beauty
Flying Solo Eye Shadow

I love this eyeshadow! I have heard of the brand but never tried anything from them. The color is such a pretty golden neutral color. I love to wear these colors under my brow bone. Occasionally I add a highlight but sometimes I just use the eyeshadow. It has a really nice shimmer but does not make you look like you are wearing glitter all over your face.

Urban Decay
Perversion Mascara:

I do not usually wear mascara. My eyelashes are pretty long and I am not a huge fan of spider eyes. However, urban decay is one of my favorite makeup brands and I know this is a brand new mascara. So, I was excited to receive this in my bag. I haven't tried it yet but I've heard so many good things about it.

Dr. Brandt
Pores No More Pore Refiner

Another product I am really excited about. I have heard so many good things about this company and I've been wanting to try a pore filler. I was going to get some Maybelline baby skin since I've heard good things about it. But, will be trying this instead. It seems like this also works as a primer as well.

*I purchased my Ipsy bag with my own money. The opinions expressed are as always my own. If you sign up for Ipsy using my link I get points to go towards getting a free product in the future. As always you do not need to sign up using my link however, I would appreciate it.
